How to Get Rid of Crows Feet

How to Get Rid of Crows Feet

Woman illustrating different skin conditionsI don’t know about you, but there really are very few skincare concerns that really get to me. We all have things that we’re not all that fond of, that bother us or we know we might not be able to fix.

Spots are one of them! But crows feet – now they have the power to invoke fear in me just at the mention of the name.

Crows feet terrify me.

Perhaps it’s the knowledge that they’ll show my age, the worry that I may not ever be able to be rid of them or that they’re so visible to everybody that looks at me, but whichever the reason, I’m not much of a fan – and I don’t think I’m the only one.

Crows feet are definitely up there in one of the biggest skincare concerns we all have – and I’ll safely bet that it’s not just women that fear them.

As you can imagine, with my fears, I set to work quite early on in life in trying to keep them away, work with them when they inevitably arrived and did my best to get rid of them. It wasn’t easy, but it was doable and it can be for you too.

They might seem to they’re ingrained into your skin, but with a little care, TLC and persistent, you can make a whole lot of different to not only the way they look and feel, but to all of the skin on your face.

Preventative Measures

So, before we begin, I think it’s best to state something quite obvious – prevention is better than cure. Now, it could be too late for some, but for others that are yet to spy these nasty little lines beside your eyes, taking action early could prevent them from appearing earlier and fight them off.

SPF

Again, an obvious start, but stopping sun damage is your best bet at keeping your skin smooth and wrinkle free. Use a high SPF that will fight UVA and UVB rays and keep you protected whenever you’re exposed to the sun.

Cover Up

Sunglasses have a practical functionality first, they’re not just for fashion. These beauties will keep the sun off of your eyes (as long as they have a strong enough filter) and stop your skin from wrinkling too early – just like the SPFs, especially when worn together.

Treating the Cause

Now if you’ve gotten to the stage where enough is enough and you need to do something about the crows feet that have appeared around your eyes, you’ll find a wealth of options below. Some are easier than others but all require the same amount of care and attention to get to work.

Moisture

Moisture is the best cure for wrinkles. Wrinkles form for a number of reasons, from natural aging and the genetic makeup of your individual skin to sun damage, environmental effects, but you can always bet that a lack of collagen has something to do with it.

Our bodies naturally produce collagen and it keeps the skin looking plump. As we age the collagen production slows, thus wrinkles are inevitable. But, with collagen, hydration is key. When we are properly hydrated, the collagen production can do its thing without feeling strained.

By making sure that your skin is properly hydrated, internally with water and externally with good creams, you’ll be doing yourself the world of good. Chances are, those pesky little lines will start to look a whole lot better too – if not pretty much disappear.

Massage

It might sound silly, a little indulgent in fact – and while it may be, it also works. Blood flow around wrinkles can be tough. But if you get the blood going around your eyes, they’ll start to feel a lot more relaxed. And guess what, it’s having tense muscles that make them look so wrinkled.

With massage, you get the muscles to relax a lot more and when they’re relaxed, the visible signs of ageing start to improve. It may not be a long term fix, but it’s certainly a quick one and of course, with persistence and regular action, it can work in the long run too.

Vitamins

Vitamins are always great for your body – that’s nothing new, but they’re key to keeping your skin in tip top condition. So stock up on your supplements, whether you reach your daily intake of fruits or veggies or not.

Creams that are enriched with vitamins, like Revitol Eye Cream, are always a great option for your crows feet too. They work with the surface of the skin and the outer layers while the work you’re doing with food and drink intake tackles the internal stuff – it’s a win win.

Facial

Again, another great option to see here. Facials are a bit of a combination of all of the things that really do your skin good. Firstly, you’re be able to relax, which can never be too good for your body and skincare. You’re also getting treated with some really great products. Most of these are quite particular and suit certain skin conditions – so if wrinkles is yours, it’s a great match.

You’ll also be relaxing those face muscles and getting the blood flowing like with the massage, which helps to improve your circulation over time.

Extra Strength

If you fee like you need a little something more, that you don’t want to wait to see firmer results, then something like Elite Serum might be just what you’re looking for. Not only is it medically recommended for aging skin, but it’s full of advanced active ingredients that purposely plump out the skin, tackle wrinkles and smooth out the skin.

Elite Serum is great for crows feet thanks the peptides that make up its compound. They’re much stronger than your typical topical treatment and are the reason for lots of really good skin cases worldwide.

So, with so many options to choose from, how will you be tackling your crows feet today?
